Scorpion Vision Roundup from Industry Event
At this year’s Machine Vision Conference and Exhibition held at Milton Keynes Arena on 16th May 2018, the Scorpion Vision stand showcased the latest 3D machine vision solution with our high performance 3D Stinger® camera inspecting an engine block
Hik Vision themselves were alongside us at the event with a range of area scan cameras with varying resolutions suitable for a host of industry applications. Also on show was their Vision Box, Smart Camera as well as the VPU offering high speed barcode reading capabilities.
Our partners at Pixelink were also attending again this year with a range of high performance lenses traditionally used for small field of view applications mainly in the metrology, life sciences and semi-conductor sectors. However they also now offer a Resolv4k lens which is ideally suited for large field of views applications, such as autonomous vehicles and drones.
MBJ Imaging were here for the second year running showcasing their diverse range of LED lightings which are ideally suited for machine vision applications.
We were all in good voice too with several presentations going on throughout the day! Paul Wilson (Scorpion Vision), Kane Luo (Hik Vision), Thor Vollset (Tordivel, our parent company), Patrick Buvé (Pixelink/Navitar) and Andreas Bayer (MBJ Imaging) covered topics, respectively, on: 3D Food Processing, Vision Guided Robots, Realtime 3D Robot Vision as a Salmon Killer (yes, really), 4k Imaging combining cameras and lenses, LED lighting for robot vision. Quite a line-up!
Paul Wilson, Managing Director at Scorpion Vision commented, “We have had another hugely successful show this year. It’s great to see the vast array of vision products and true innovation on display, which clearly demonstrates what a vital part we play in the manufacturing industry as a whole.”
